Editorial policy

Funding

On The Jab is funded entirely by readers. The only product we sell is a four-dollar ebook. We accept no advertising, no sponsorship, no paid placement, and no money of any kind from pharmaceutical manufacturers, telehealth platforms, compounding pharmacies, supplement companies, weight-loss programs, or medical device makers.

We use no affiliate links. If we mention a product, a pharmacy, or a program, we earn nothing whether you click or not.

What we refuse

• Sponsored articles, native advertising, and “partner content” of any description.
• Free product, samples, paid travel, or gifts from any company we cover.
• Speaking fees, consulting arrangements, or advisory board seats with industry.
• Equity or options in any company whose products we write about.
• Pre-publication review of our copy by any outside party.

How we source claims

Clinical claims are traced to primary literature — peer-reviewed trials, FDA labeling, or regulatory filings — and linked directly, not to a secondary write-up. Where a figure comes from a company press release or an investor presentation, we identify it as such in the same sentence.

Where evidence is preliminary, contested, or absent, we say so. We do not convert a secondary endpoint into a headline, and we do not report relative risk without the absolute numbers underneath it.

Clinical review

Articles that carry clinical guidance are reviewed by Dr. Nick Robertson, MD, and carry a visible review date. Evergreen guides are re-checked at least every six months, and the date on the page reflects the most recent check, not the original publication.

Corrections

When we get something materially wrong, we correct it at the top of the article, dated, describing what was wrong and what it now says. The correction stays permanently. We do not silently edit a published claim.

Typos and broken links are fixed without notice. Anything that changes the meaning of a clinical statement is a correction.

Artificial intelligence

We do not publish AI-generated articles. Language models may be used for transcription, search, or copy-editing, but every published sentence is written or rewritten by a human, and every clinical claim is verified against a source by a human.

Reader privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share reader data. Newsletter subscribers are never passed to a third party. See our privacy notice for the detail.

Complaints

If you believe something we published is wrong, email hello@onthejab.com with the article and the specific claim. We read every one, and we answer the ones that identify a factual error.
